Preschool Assistant

About the Role

Our client is looking for a warm and supportive Preschool Assistant to join a busy early learning center in Glasgow . This role involves assisting the lead teacher in creating an enriching and safe learning environment for preschool-aged children. You will help facilitate daily activities, support children's social and emotional development, and contribute to maintaining a positive atmosphere within the classroom. Key Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in delivering engaging and age-appropriate lessons and activities.
• Supervise children during playtime, snack times, and rest periods, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Support children's personal, social, and emotional development.
• Help maintain a clean, organised, and stimulating learning environment.
• Communicate with colleagues regarding children's progress and any concerns.

Requirements

• Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting is preferred.
• A passion for working with young children and a patient, nurturing attitude.
• Basic understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage principles.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to undertake further training and development.
