Press Brake Operator

Our client is a successful and well-established manufacturer. They are looking for a Press Brake Operator / Pressbrake Machine Operative to work in their busy factory. NOTE: This is an 18 month contract. Start date during November (TBC). PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU MEET THE FOLLOWING ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 2 years experience as a Press Brake Operative, working with metal in a manufacturing / production / factory / engineering environment.
• If no Press Brake experience, then extensive experience with other Manual or CNC Machines will be considered.
• Willing to work overtime when needed. Salary (on shifts): £16.98 - £17.79 per hour depending on experience (£14.78 - £15.59 basic, plus a £2.20 shift allowance) +Overtime at x1.5 of the basic rate. Shift pattern (Earlies & Lates, rotating weekly):
• 5.45am - 2.15pm Monday – Thursday, 5.45am - 1.15pm Friday
• 2.00pm - 10.30pm Monday – Thursday, 1.00pm - 8.30pm Friday NOTE: The job will initially start on normal day hours, and then will move onto the below shift pattern at a later date. During this time you will be paid the basic rate of £14.78 - £15.59 per hour. Benefit: 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays) Duties and Responsibilities:
• To operate a press brake machine, to manufacture the company's metal products.
• To following engineering drawings.
• To follow quality specifications of build programme.
• To verify product and build dimensional conformance to engineering drawings.
• Any other duties as reasonable requested by management. This job would suit someone from a manufacturing or production environment where a Press Brake Machine has been used (Brake press, press brake, bending machine, hydraulic press, bending press, folding press, plate bending, folding brake, pressbrake).
