Are you a qualified Primary Teacher looking for flexibility without sacrificing consistency?

Academics is currently recruiting Primary Supply Teachers to work across a range of primary schools throughout Cardiff. We have strong relationships with local schools and can offer regular day-to-day supply opportunities, with the chance to build relationships with familiar schools and be requested back for future cover.

Unlike traditional supply work where every day can mean a completely different setting, we aim to provide opportunities for you to return to schools where you're already known and valued. This gives you the flexibility of supply teaching alongside the consistency of familiar classrooms and staff.

The Role as a Primary Supply Teacher with Academics

Delivering engaging lessons across primary year groups, from Nursery to Year 6.

Providing day-to-day classroom cover across Cardiff primary schools.

Following lesson plans and maintaining continuity of learning.

Managing classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.

Building relationships with pupils and school staff.

Developing regular working relationships with schools that request you back for future cover.

We're Looking For

Qualified Primary Teachers with QTS.

Both newly qualified and experienced teachers are welcome to apply.

Confident classroom management skills.

A reliable, adaptable and enthusiastic approach.

A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.

Requirements

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Enhanced DBS certificate.

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
