Experienced Year 4 Teacher - An Excellent Long-Term Opportunity in Manchester!
Reeson Education is seeking an experienced and committed Primary Teacher for an exciting, full-time Year 4 teaching opportunity at a welcoming primary school in the M9 area of Manchester.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an established teacher who is confident leading a class, delivering high-quality lessons and creating a positive, purposeful learning environment where children can thrive. The school is looking for someone who can bring experience, consistency and enthusiasm to the classroom, helping pupils continue to make progress through an important stage of their primary education.
This role is specifically suited to an experienced teacher with previous Year 4 teaching experience. It is not suitable for Early Career Teachers (ECTs).
The successful Primary Teacher will initially join the school as soon as possible to support a planned handover and transition period. This will provide valuable time to become familiar with the class, routines and expectations before taking on the role full-time after October half-term.
The position offers a full 12 months of maternity cover, making it an excellent opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher seeking a stable, long-term role where they can make a genuine difference.
The Role - Year 4 Primary Teacher
As the Year 4 Primary Teacher, you will take responsibility for delivering engaging, well-structured lessons that support pupils' academic progress, confidence and development. You will play an important role in maintaining continuity for the class and ensuring that pupils experience a consistent, supportive approach to teaching and learning.
Your responsibilities will include:
Planning and delivering engaging lessons in line with the National Curriculum. Taking responsibility for the teaching and learning of a Year 4 class. Assessing, monitoring and supporting pupil progress. Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs and abilities. Maintaining strong classroom and behaviour management. Establishing clear routines, expectations and positive relationships. Creating an inclusive classroom where pupils feel safe, supported and motivated to learn. Working collaboratively with colleagues and support staff. Supporting a smooth handover and transition into the full-time role. Maintaining high standards of teaching, learning and pupil engagement throughout the maternity cover period.
The Ideal Primary Teacher
Reeson Education is looking for a confident, capable and enthusiastic Primary Teacher who can step into an established Year 4 class and make a positive impact.
To be considered, you must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Previous experience teaching a Year 4 class. Proven experience as a class teacher in a primary school. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 2 curriculum and Year 4 expectations. Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills. The ability to plan, deliver and adapt high-quality lessons. Strong assessment skills and a commitment to raising attainment. The confidence to establish routines and maintain consistency. A positive, proactive and professional approach. Availability to commit to a full-time, long-term maternity cover position.
Please note: applications from ECTs cannot be considered for this position. The school requires a teacher with the practical classroom experience and Year 4 knowledge to provide continuity throughout the handover and maternity cover period.
Why Apply for This Primary Teacher Role?
This is more than a short-term teaching assignment. It is an opportunity for an experienced Primary Teacher to take ownership of a Year 4 class, build positive relationships and contribute to pupils' progress over a substantial period.
In return, you can expect:
A full 12-month maternity cover opportunity, offering long-term stability. An initial handover and transition period to help you settle into the role. A full-time, Monday-to-Friday teaching position. Competitive daily pay of £142-£212, dependent on experience and PAYE or Umbrella arrangements. The opportunity to make a meaningful difference to pupils' learning and development. Dedicated support from Reeson Education throughout your placement.
