Key Responsibilities

As a Teaching Assistant based in Ellesmere Port, your daily duties will include:

• Providing in-class support to class teachers, helping pupils to engage, focus, and achieve across the curriculum in EYFS, Key Stage 1 or 2.

• Delivering targeted one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN, adapting activities to meet individual needs

• Supporting day-to-day operations in your role as a Primary Teaching Assistant to ensure high standards of care, safeguarding and compliance

• Promoting the school's inclusive ethos through positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

Requirements & Qualifications

To be successful as a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will need:

• Relevant experience and/or a qualification supporting children’s learning in a school setting

• Proven experience working as a Primary Teaching Assistant or in a similar education role

• Strong practical knowledge of safeguarding procedures, professional boundaries, and inclusive practice (including SEN support)

• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to complete one) and the right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship is not available)
