About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer with expertise in water resources to join their established team in Glasgow . This senior role involves leading the technical direction and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including supply networks, treatment facilities, and flood defense systems across Scotland . You will provide high-level technical expertise, manage complex projects, and mentor junior engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of water and wastewater engineering projects.
• Provide expert technical advice on hydraulic modeling, water quality, and network analysis.
• Manage project teams, ensuring designs meet stringent regulatory requirements and client objectives.
• Develop and review detailed engineering designs, specifications, and contract documentation for water infrastructure.
• Conduct site investigations, risk assessments, and feasibility studies for new water resource developments.
• Engage with stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and clients to ensure successful project outcomes.

Requirements

• Chartered Engineer (CEng) with a relevant professional institution.
• Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a specialization in Water Resources or Environmental Engineering.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in water and wastewater infrastructure design and project management.
• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic modeling software (e.g., EPANET, InfoWorks) and relevant UK standards.
• Proven experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams and large-scale water projects.
• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and sustainable water management practices.
