About the Role

Our client is looking for an accomplished Principal Civil Engineer to lead key projects within their Bradford office. This senior role demands extensive technical knowledge, strong leadership capabilities, and a strategic approach to engineering challenges. You will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and delivery of significant infrastructure and development projects, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction. This is a pivotal position for an experienced engineer looking to make a substantial impact and guide a talented team in a collaborative, office-based setting.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the technical direction and execution of complex civil engineering projects.
Manage project teams, allocate resources, and ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
Act as a technical authority, providing expert advice and solutions on engineering matters.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders.
Conduct thorough design reviews and quality assurance checks on all project deliverables.
Mentor and develop junior and mid-level engineering staff, fostering a culture of excellence.

Requirements

Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a strong emphasis on project leadership.
Demonstrated expertise in infrastructure design, project management, and contract administration.
Chartered Engineer status (e.g., CEng MICE) is highly desirable.
Proficiency in industry-standard design and analysis software.
Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
