About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a distinguished Principal Cloud Architect to join their fully remote technology division. In this senior strategic role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the company's cloud strategy, designing resilient and scalable cloud infrastructures, and providing expert technical leadership across multiple projects. You will work with engineering teams to ensure best practices in cloud adoption, security, and cost optimization. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the overall cloud architecture strategy and roadmap for the organization, focusing on scalability, security, and cost-efficiency.
• Design, implement, and manage complex cloud solutions on platforms such as AWS , Azure , or GCP .
• Establish and enforce cloud governance policies, standards, and best practices across all engineering teams.
• Provide expert guidance and technical leadership on cloud technologies, infrastructure automation, and DevOps practices.
• Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and technologies to enhance system capabilities and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into robust, secure, and performant cloud architectures.

Requirements

• Extensive experience as a Cloud Architect or in a similar senior cloud engineering role, with a focus on designing and implementing large-scale cloud environments.
• Deep expertise in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), including their services, security models, and cost management tools.
• Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation, and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong understanding of networking, security principles, and compliance requirements in cloud environments.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Experience with microservices architecture and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
