Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage complex drug discovery projects from target identification through to candidate selection.
• Develop and implement innovative strategies for hit identification, lead optimization, and preclinical development.
• Provide expert scientific guidance and mentorship to a team of research scientists and associates.
• Collaborate effectively with internal departments (e.g., chemistry, biology, DMPK) and external partners.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets, making critical decisions regarding project progression.
• Author scientific reports, publications, and contribute to regulatory filings.

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in drug discovery within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Demonstrated success in leading research programs and achieving key development milestones.
• In-depth knowledge of drug discovery processes, including target validation, assay development, and PK/PD studies.
• Strong understanding of medicinal chemistry principles and structure-activity relationships.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.
