About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Drug Safety Scientist to lead key aspects of their global pharmacovigilance strategy. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of global drug safety surveillance strategies and risk management plans.
• Oversight of adverse event case processing and regulatory reporting to ensure compliance with global standards.
• Conduct signal detection and risk assessment activities, recommending appropriate actions to mitigate safety risks.
• Contribute significantly to the preparation and review of aggregate safety reports (e.g., DSURs, PSURs).
• Provide expert guidance on pharmacovigilance matters to internal stakeholders and external partners.
• Mentor and guide junior members of the drug safety team in a virtual capacity.

Requirements

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD, MSc in a related field).
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in pharmacovigilance and drug safety, with a focus on signal detection and risk management.
• In-depth knowledge of global regulatory requirements for drug safety (e.g., GVP modules, ICH guidelines).
• Proven experience in leading safety surveillance activities and managing complex safety issues.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent leadership and communication abilities for effective remote team management and stakeholder engagement.
