About the Role

Our client seeks a highly experienced and visionary Principal Industrial Engineer to drive operational excellence at their facility in Belfast . This senior position demands a strategic approach to optimising all aspects of production and logistics, from material flow to workforce productivity. You will be responsible for identifying and implementing cutting-edge solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain the highest standards of quality and safety. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the strategic development and implementation of large-scale process improvements and operational efficiency initiatives.
• Conduct in-depth analyses of existing systems and propose innovative solutions to complex operational challenges.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a high-performance team culture.
• Develop and champion advanced methodologies, including simulation, advanced analytics, and automation strategies.
• Oversee major capital projects related to facility layout, equipment justification, and technology integration.
• Act as a subject matter expert for industrial engineering principles and best practices within the organisation.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with significant exposure to complex manufacturing environments.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and advanced statistical analysis.
• Proven experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong proficiency in simulation software, data analytics tools, and CAD.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
