About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Principal Industrial Engineer to drive significant operational enhancements at their major facility in Southampton . This senior role will involve developing and implementing long-term strategies for process optimization, technological integration, and overall business efficiency. You will lead complex projects, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with senior management to ensure alignment with business objectives. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute long-range strategic plans for operational excellence, focusing on efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of advanced manufacturing systems and automation technologies.
• Provide expert guidance and technical leadership on Lean Manufacturing , Six Sigma, and other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Conduct comprehensive analyses of complex operational challenges, identifying root causes and formulating innovative, scalable solutions.
• Oversee major capital projects related to operational upgrades and expansions, ensuring successful project delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
• Mentor and develop a team of industrial engineers, fostering a culture of technical expertise, collaboration, and high performance in Southampton .

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with a significant portion in senior or lead roles.
• Deep expertise in Lean Six Sigma (Master Black Belt or equivalent experience preferred) and advanced process optimization techniques.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale, complex operational transformation projects.
• Exceptional analytical, strategic thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, capable of influencing executive decision-making.
