About the Role
Our client is pioneering advancements in Artificial Intelligence and is seeking an exceptional Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their fully remote AI Research team. This role is for a highly experienced individual who can lead the design, development, and deployment of sophisticated ML systems that push the boundaries of what's possible. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of large-scale, production-ready machine learning models and AI systems.
- Conduct in-depth research into novel ML algorithms and techniques, assessing their applicability to challenging problems.
- Collaborate with research scientists to translate theoretical concepts into practical, scalable engineering solutions.
- Optimize ML models for performance, efficiency, and scalability across distributed computing environments.
- Develop robust MLOps pipelines for model training, deployment, monitoring, and version control.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the technical vision and strategy of the AI research division.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or a related quantitative field.
- 10+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with a strong focus on developing and deploying complex AI systems.
- Expertise in deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or JAX, and proficiency in Python.
- Proven experience with distributed systems, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), and MLOps best practices.
- Strong understanding of various ML paradigms including supervised, unsupervised, and reinforcement learning.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities, strategic thinking, and communication skills for a remote team.
