About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished and innovative Principal Machine Learning Engineer to join their advanced research and development team in Reading . Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement advanced machine learning models and algorithms for various applications.
• Lead the end-to-end ML lifecycle, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to integrate ML solutions into products and services.
• Optimize ML models for performance, scalability, and efficiency in production environments.
• Mentor and guide junior machine learning engineers and data scientists.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and advancements in AI/ML and champion their adoption.
• Architect scalable and robust ML infrastructure and pipelines.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related quantitative field.
• 7+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering or a related role.
• Proven expertise in developing and deploying ML models using frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Strong understanding of statistical modeling, deep learning, and various ML algorithms.
• Experience with big data technologies and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
