Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of end-to-end machine learning pipelines and infrastructure.
- Develop and optimize advanced ML models for various applications, including predictive analytics, recommendation systems, and anomaly detection.
- Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and business stakeholders to define project requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior ML engineers, promoting best practices in code quality, testing, and deployment.
- Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance the ML platform's scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production ML systems.
Requirements
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or a related quantitative field.
- 8+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, with a significant focus on building production-ready systems.
- Expertise in Python and common ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Proven experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps best practices.
- Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a commitment to on-site collaboration in Cardiff .
