Principal Management Consultant - Data & Analytics

About the Role

Our client, a leading global consultancy, is seeking an accomplished Principal Management Consultant with expertise in Data & Analytics to join their practice. This role is fully remote, serving clients nationwide, with a strong connection to the Sheffield area. You will be pivotal in helping organisations harness the power of their data to drive strategic insights, improve decision-making, and unlock new business value. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical knowledge combined with strong strategic and client-facing skills, thriving in an autonomous, results-oriented remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead consulting engagements focused on data strategy, analytics implementation, and data-driven transformation.
• Advise clients on building robust data foundations, developing advanced analytics capabilities, and embedding data into their core business processes.
• Develop and oversee the execution of data and analytics roadmaps, ensuring alignment with business objectives and value creation.
• Manage cross-functional teams, including data scientists, engineers, and business analysts, to deliver impactful solutions.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with C-suite executives and key stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Drive business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to proposals for data and analytics services.

Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in data strategy, advanced analytics, or data management consulting.
• Proven track record of leading large-scale data and analytics transformation projects.
• Deep understanding of data governance, data warehousing, business intelligence, AI/ML, and data visualisation tools and methodologies.
• Exceptional client advisory and executive communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams and deliver complex projects within a remote context.
• Advanced degree (e.g., PhD, Master's) in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
