About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and visionary Principal Mechanical Engineer to lead critical initiatives within their advanced engineering division in Wolverhampton . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the conceptualization, design, and development of cutting-edge mechanical systems and products, addressing significant technical challenges.
• Perform advanced engineering analysis, including complex FEA , CFD, and thermal modeling, to optimize performance and reliability.
• Mentor and guide senior and junior engineers, fostering technical excellence and professional development within the team.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership to define long-term technical roadmaps and strategic engineering objectives.
• Oversee the technical aspects of projects, ensuring adherence to stringent quality, safety, and performance standards.
• Act as a subject matter expert, providing critical input on design decisions, technology selection, and problem-solving initiatives.

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Extensive experience (12+ years) as a Mechanical Engineer with a focus on advanced design and analysis.
• Demonstrated track record of successfully leading complex engineering projects and solving highly challenging technical problems.
• Expert proficiency in multiple CAD packages and advanced simulation software (FEA, CFD).
• Deep understanding of mechanical system dynamics, thermodynamics, and materials science.
