About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire . This senior role will be instrumental in driving process design, optimization, and troubleshooting for complex projects within the chemical and energy sectors. You will provide expert technical leadership, mentor engineering staff, and ensure the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and compliance are maintained throughout project lifecycles. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of process designs, P&IDs, and equipment specifications for new and existing facilities.
- Conduct process simulations, feasibility studies, and hazard analyses (HAZOP).
- Optimize existing plant operations to improve efficiency, yield, and reduce environmental impact.
- Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for operational issues.
- Mentor and develop a team of process engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Ensure all designs and operations comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in process engineering , with a proven track record in the energy or chemical industries.
- In-depth knowledge of process simulation software and process safety principles.
- Strong leadership and project management capabilities.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with front-end engineering design (FEED) and detailed design phases.
