About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and influential Principal Process Engineer to join their advanced manufacturing facility in Bristol . In this senior role, you will provide strategic technical leadership, drive complex process design and improvement initiatives, and mentor junior engineering staff. You will be instrumental in ensuring the operational efficiency, safety, and scalability of our client's chemical processes. This position requires a visionary engineer with a proven track record of successfully leading major engineering projects and influencing technical direction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of large-scale chemical process projects.
- Provide expert technical guidance and oversight on process engineering matters across multiple sites.
- Develop and implement advanced process control strategies to optimize plant performance.
- Conduct rigorous safety reviews and ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Mentor and develop a team of process engineers, fostering technical excellence and innovation.
- Act as a key technical liaison with external stakeholders, including regulators and technology suppliers.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering .
- Over 10 years of progressive experience in chemical process engineering, with significant project leadership responsibilities.
- Demonstrated expertise in process simulation, modeling, and optimization techniques.
- Deep understanding of process safety principles, risk management, and regulatory frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proven ability to drive significant improvements in process efficiency, yield, and cost reduction.
