About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Recruitment Consultant to lead key client relationships and drive specialist recruitment initiatives from their Newcastle upon Tyne office. In this senior role, you will leverage your extensive market knowledge and consultative approach to attract and engage high-caliber candidates and provide strategic workforce solutions to diverse clients. You will mentor junior consultants, contribute to market strategy, and play a pivotal role in shaping the firm's reputation for excellence within its specialist sectors. This hybrid role offers a blend of office-based collaboration and remote flexibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic recruitment plans for high-priority client accounts.
- Lead the full recruitment cycle for senior-level and niche roles, ensuring a superior candidate experience.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, offering insights on market trends, talent availability, and compensation benchmarking.
- Mentor and coach a team of recruitment consultants, fostering their professional growth and performance.
- Identify and pursue new business development opportunities within your specialist vertical.
- Champion best practices in candidate engagement, diversity, and inclusion.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in recruitment, with a significant portion focused on senior-level placements.
- Demonstrated expertise in a specific industry sector or functional area.
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships.
- Exceptional negotiation, influencing, and presentation skills.
- Experience in team leadership or mentoring is highly advantageous.
