Principal Scientist - Drug Discovery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly accomplished Principal Scientist to join their innovative drug discovery team in Cardiff . Key Responsibilities

• Mentor junior scientists and contribute to the scientific direction and strategy of the drug discovery unit.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related life sciences discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in drug discovery within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Demonstrated success in leading research programs and advancing drug candidates from discovery to preclinical development.
• Extensive experience with a variety of in vitro and in vivo assay systems and models relevant to target validation and drug efficacy.
• Strong understanding of medicinal chemistry principles and drug development processes.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
