Key Responsibilities

• Identify, validate, and characterize novel drug targets across various therapeutic areas.
• Design and implement integrated drug discovery strategies, employing a range of disciplines including medicinal chemistry, biology, and pharmacology.
• Lead and mentor multidisciplinary project teams, ensuring seamless execution and timely achievement of milestones.
• Develop and refine assays for target engagement, efficacy, and safety profiling of drug candidates.
• Author and present research findings to internal governance committees and external scientific forums.
• Foster strong collaborations with external partners and key opinion leaders in the field.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Pharmacology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or a related discipline.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with a proven track record in drug discovery.
• Demonstrated leadership experience in managing scientific projects and teams.
• Deep understanding of target validation, assay development, and lead optimization processes.
• Strong scientific acumen with a broad knowledge of medicinal chemistry principles and synthetic routes.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking, coupled with excellent communication skills.
