Principal Scientist - Drug Discovery

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of complex drug discovery projects , from target identification to lead optimization.
• Develop and implement innovative experimental strategies to validate novel therapeutic targets and pathways.
• Supervise and mentor a team of research scientists and technicians, fostering scientific rigor and productivity.
• Analyze and interpret complex biological and pharmacological data, making critical go/no-go decisions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including chemistry, DMPK, and pharmacology, to ensure project success.
• Author and present research findings internally and externally at scientific meetings and in peer-reviewed publications.

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in drug discovery within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record of successfully advancing drug candidates through early-stage development.
• Deep understanding of disease biology, target validation, and medicinal chemistry principles.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience managing research teams and projects.
• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and strategic thinking.
