Principal Scientist - Drug Discovery

About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Principal Scientist to lead critical initiatives in drug discovery . This is a fully remote role, allowing you to contribute to transformative research from any location. You will leverage your deep scientific expertise and strategic thinking to identify and validate novel drug targets, design innovative therapeutic strategies, and guide projects from early discovery through to preclinical development. Key Responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate, and advance novel therapeutic targets and drug candidates for unmet medical needs.

• Develop and implement cutting-edge drug discovery platforms and technologies.
• Collaborate closely with medicinal chemists, biologists, pharmacologists, and toxicologists.
• Provide scientific leadership and mentorship to research teams.
• Prepare regulatory submission documents and contribute to grant applications.

Requirements

• PhD in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in drug discovery and development within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry.
• Demonstrated success in leading discovery programs and achieving key development milestones.
• In-depth knowledge of specific therapeutic areas (e.g., oncology, immunology, neuroscience).
• Strong understanding of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and toxicology principles.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills for remote collaboration.
