Principal Scientist - Structural Biology

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute structure determination projects using techniques such as X-ray crystallography, cryo-EM, and NMR spectroscopy.
• Develop strategies for protein expression, purification, and crystallization/sample preparation for structural analysis.
• Interpret complex structural data to understand molecular mechanisms and guide drug design.
• Mentor and guide junior scientists and technicians within the structural biology group.
• Collaborate closely with computational chemists, biologists, and pharmacologists to integrate structural findings into project goals.

Requirements

• PhD in Structural Biology , Biochemistry, Biophysics, or a related field.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in structural biology, with a strong publication record.
• Demonstrated expertise in multiple structural biology techniques and advanced data analysis.
• Proven ability to lead research projects and manage scientific teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, essential for collaboration in Oxford .
