Principal Transport Planner - Remote

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and delivery of Transport Assessments (TA), Transport Statements (TS), and Travel Plans.
• Conduct complex traffic modelling and analysis using software such as Paramics, VISSIM, or SATURN.
• Provide strategic advice on transport policy, planning, and infrastructure development to clients and stakeholders.
• Manage multiple projects concurrently, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality reports and recommendations.
• Engage with local authorities, government agencies, and developers to influence planning outcomes and secure approvals.
• Mentor and guide junior transport planners, fostering technical excellence and professional growth within the team.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Transport Planning, Geography, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in transport planning consultancy or a related public sector role.
• Proven track record in leading complex transport planning projects and managing client relationships.
• Expertise in traffic modelling software, data analysis, and transport policy interpretation.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively in a remote setting.
