Process Development Chemical Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development of new chemical processes and refine existing ones to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
• Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot plant trials, and data analysis to validate process designs and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
• Collaborate with R&D scientists and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless technology transfer from development to full-scale production.
• Perform economic evaluations and risk assessments for proposed process modifications and new technologies.
• Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical engineering technologies and methodologies, recommending their adoption where appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
• Proven experience (3-5 years) in process development, optimization, or scale-up within the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of chemical reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical information clearly.
