About the Role
Our client is looking for a proactive Process Development Chemical Engineer to join their innovative team, with the option for this role to be fully remote. This position is central to advancing our product development lifecycle, focusing on the creation, testing, and refinement of novel chemical processes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to translate laboratory findings into viable, scalable manufacturing solutions, ensuring efficiency, safety, and environmental responsibility. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical processes for new product introductions, from bench to pilot scale.
- Design and execute experiments to evaluate process feasibility, efficiency, and robustness.
- Analyze process data to identify key parameters, control strategies, and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and manufacturing teams on technology transfer and scale-up activities.
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including process descriptions, P&IDs, and safety assessments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve process-related challenges during development and initial production runs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in chemical process development or scale-up.
- Familiarity with process simulation tools and statistical analysis methods.
- Strong knowledge of chemical engineering principles and unit operations.
- Understanding of process safety management (PSM) and risk assessment.
- Excellent analytical skills and ability to communicate technical information effectively.
