Process Development Engineer - Pharmaceuticals

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and scale up chemical processes for pharmaceutical intermediates and active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).
• Conduct laboratory experiments, pilot-scale runs, and data analysis to define critical process parameters (CPPs) and performance attributes (CPAs).
• Ensure all process development activities adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and regulatory guidelines.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
• Collaborate with analytical development, formulation, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful technology transfer.
• Author process descriptions, validation protocols, and regulatory submission documents.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline, with a strong focus on pharmaceutical sciences.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in process development within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry.
• Thorough understanding of GMP, ICH guidelines, and regulatory submission requirements.
• Experience with process validation, scale-up, and technology transfer.
• Proficiency in process modeling and statistical analysis software.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
