Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments to develop and optimize chemical synthesis routes and manufacturing processes.
• Perform pilot plant trials and scale-up studies, troubleshooting any arising issues.
• Analyze process data, identify key performance indicators, and implement improvements for efficiency and yield.
• Develop and document detailed process descriptions, operating procedures, and control strategies.
• Collaborate with analytical teams to develop and validate process monitoring methods.
• Contribute to the design and specification of new process equipment.

Requirements

• BEng or MEng in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in process development, scale-up, or manufacturing within the chemical industry.
• Hands-on experience with laboratory and pilot-scale chemical reaction systems.
• Familiarity with process safety assessments and risk mitigation strategies.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) tools.
• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
