Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and skilled Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team based in Glasgow . You will be involved in the entire lifecycle of process development, from initial concept and experimentation to full-scale implementation. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and test new manufacturing processes and improve existing ones to enhance efficiency, yield, and quality.
• Conduct experimental trials, analyze data, and present findings and recommendations for process optimization.
• Collaborate with R&D, engineering, and production teams to ensure seamless transfer of new processes into manufacturing environments.
• Develop process documentation, including SOPs, manufacturing instructions, and validation protocols.
• Troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
• Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies in process engineering and manufacturing, recommending their adoption where appropriate.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in process development or manufacturing engineering, ideally within the relevant industry.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
• Experience with statistical analysis, DOE (Design of Experiments), and process simulation tools.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid team setting.
• Understanding of GMP, ISO, or other relevant quality standards is beneficial.
