Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a talented Process Development Engineer to contribute to their innovative research and development team based in Coventry . This role focuses on the development and scale-up of novel chemical processes from laboratory to pilot and full-scale production. You will play a crucial part in bringing new products and technologies to market, working collaboratively with R&D chemists and engineers. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments and pilot plant trials to validate new chemical processes.
• Analyze experimental data, identify key process parameters, and optimize reaction conditions.
• Develop robust scale-up strategies and techno-economic assessments for new processes.
• Prepare detailed technical reports, documentation, and presentations on process development findings.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure seamless technology transfer.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during process development and scale-up.

Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Experience in process development, scale-up, or pilot plant operations.
• Strong understanding of reaction kinetics, thermodynamics, and separation processes.
• Proficiency in data analysis and statistical methods.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
