About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Development Engineer to enhance their manufacturing capabilities in Coventry . This role is crucial for the innovation and scaling of new and existing chemical processes, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and commercially viable. You will work closely with research teams to translate laboratory discoveries into scalable industrial processes, focusing on optimisation and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and scale up new chemical processes from laboratory to pilot plant and full production scale.
- Conduct feasibility studies and design of experiments (DOE) to optimize process parameters.
- Troubleshoot process issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions to improve yield and quality.
- Collaborate with R&D scientists and production engineers to ensure seamless technology transfer.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and risk assessments.
- Ensure all process development activities adhere to strict safety, environmental, and quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering .
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in process development, scale-up, or chemical manufacturing.
- Hands-on experience with pilot plant operations and process equipment.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools for process optimisation.
- Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to chemical processing.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a Coventry -based industrial setting.
