Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team in Wolverhampton . This role focuses on enhancing existing chemical processes and developing new, more efficient methods for production. You will be involved in pilot plant operations, scale-up studies, and process optimization, working collaboratively to bring new ideas from concept to reality. This hybrid position offers a dynamic work environment, combining on-site laboratory and plant work with the flexibility of remote collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and scale up chemical processes from laboratory bench to pilot and production scales.
• Design and execute experiments to evaluate process parameters and improve yield, quality, and efficiency.
• Analyze process data, identify trends, and recommend modifications for continuous improvement.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on process development findings and recommendations.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and engineering teams to ensure smooth technology transfer.
• Ensure all process development activities comply with safety, environmental, and quality standards.

Requirements

• Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in process development, scale-up, or pilot plant operations.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects effectively.
