About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and innovative Process Development Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role focuses on enhancing and refining existing manufacturing processes and developing new ones to meet evolving product demands and efficiency targets. You will play a key part in ensuring our production lines operate at peak performance, contributing to the company's reputation for quality and reliability. Key Responsibilities
- Design, test, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Optimize existing production lines for improved throughput, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Conduct feasibility studies and pilot runs for new product introductions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including PFDs and P&IDs.
- Collaborate with R&D, production, and quality assurance teams to ensure seamless process integration.
- Troubleshoot process-related issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- At least 3 years of experience in process development or manufacturing engineering.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical analysis techniques.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, essential for cross-functional collaboration in Newcastle upon Tyne .
