About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team in Coventry . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute to the advancement of novel chemical processes. You will be instrumental in bridging the gap between laboratory-scale discovery and commercial production, focusing on process optimization, scale-up, and troubleshooting. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and optimize chemical processes for new product introductions and existing product improvements.
- Conduct pilot plant trials and scale-up studies, analyzing results to define optimal operating parameters.
- Design and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, safety, and environmental performance.
- Prepare detailed technical reports, process documentation, and P&IDs.
- Collaborate with research, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer.
- Provide technical support for process-related issues during commercial production.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- 3-5 years of experience in process development, scale-up, or chemical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with process simulation and design software.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with statistical analysis (e.g., DOE).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, adaptable to hybrid work arrangements.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and environmental standards.
