About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Development Engineer to join their innovative team in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This role focuses on the research, development, and optimization of new and existing chemical processes, aiming to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. You will work within a collaborative environment, contributing to projects that drive technological advancements in the chemical industry. Key Responsibilities
- Conduct laboratory experiments and pilot plant trials to evaluate and optimize chemical processes.
- Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement and implement cost-effective solutions.
- Develop and document standard operating procedures (SOPs) for new and modified processes.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to troubleshoot production issues and ensure smooth process implementation.
- Research and evaluate new technologies and equipment relevant to process enhancement.
- Contribute to project planning and report on progress to stakeholders, occasionally remotely.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in process development or optimization.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) techniques.
- Experience with laboratory equipment and pilot plant operations .
- Strong understanding of chemical engineering principles and safety protocols.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, adapting to hybrid working arrangements.
