Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Development Engineer to join their established operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This exciting opportunity involves working on the forefront of process innovation, focusing on improving existing manufacturing methods and developing novel solutions. You will play a key role in enhancing product quality, increasing production efficiency, and ensuring the sustainability of our client's operations. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and refine manufacturing processes to enhance product yield, quality, and consistency.
- Conduct experiments and pilot studies to evaluate new process technologies and materials.
- Analyze production data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with the production and quality assurance teams to resolve process-related issues and implement best practices.
- Prepare detailed technical reports and present findings to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all process development activities comply with stringent health and safety standards.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related scientific field.
- At least 3 years of experience in a process development or manufacturing engineering role.
- Proficiency in statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
- Experience with process modelling and simulation tools is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail in Newcastle upon Tyne .
