About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Process Development Engineer to contribute to their innovative operations based in Coventry, West Midlands . This role focuses on the research, development, and scale-up of new chemical processes, ensuring they are efficient, safe, and commercially viable. You will be a key member of the R&D team, working on transforming laboratory concepts into robust industrial applications. Key Responsibilities
- Research, design, and develop novel chemical processes from bench-scale through to pilot plant operations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for proposed new processes.
- Optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
- Prepare detailed reports, technical specifications, and presentations on process development findings.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure smooth technology transfer and successful plant implementation.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical engineering technologies and methodologies.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related scientific field.
- At least 4 years of experience in process development, R&D, or pilot plant operations.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and small-scale reactors.
- Familiarity with process safety principles and risk assessment techniques.
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with proficiency in statistical software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities for technical documentation and team collaboration.
