Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Process Development Engineer to join their innovative manufacturing team, working remotely to support operations in Leeds . This role focuses on designing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. You will work closely with R&D, engineering, and production teams to translate new product designs into scalable and robust manufacturing solutions. The ideal candidate is a creative problem-solver with a strong background in process engineering and a passion for technological advancement in manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products.
• Conduct feasibility studies and pilot runs to validate new process concepts.
• Develop detailed process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes into production.
• Analyze process data to identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
• Stay current with new manufacturing technologies and methodologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Manufacturing, or Mechanical).
• Demonstrated experience in process development and optimization within manufacturing.
• Proficiency in process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
