Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and optimisation of new chemical processes from laboratory scale to pilot and commercial scale.
- Design and execute experimental plans to gather critical process data, analyse results, and draw conclusions.
- Develop process models and simulations to predict process performance and identify critical control parameters.
- Collaborate closely with R&D chemists and engineers to ensure seamless technology transfer and scale-up.
- Author detailed technical reports, process documentation, and safety assessments for new processes.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in chemical engineering and process technology to drive innovation.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Chemical Engineering or a relevant scientific field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in process simulation software and statistical experimental design (DoE).
- Strong understanding of reaction engineering, kinetics, and separation technologies.
- Experience with pilot plant operations and troubleshooting production issues.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, effective for remote collaboration and reporting.
