About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Process Development Engineer to spearhead the enhancement of their manufacturing operations. This is a fully remote role, requiring you to bring your expertise in process optimization and innovation directly to our client's diverse production facilities through virtual collaboration. You will play a critical role in analysing existing processes, identifying areas for improvement, and developing innovative solutions that drive efficiency and quality. Working remotely, you will be a key player in ensuring our manufacturing standards remain at the forefront of the industry, engaging with stakeholders across different departments and locations to implement best practices. This position offers the chance to contribute significantly to a leading manufacturing enterprise.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, evaluate, and improve manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
- Utilize data analytics and modeling tools to diagnose process inefficiencies and recommend data-driven solutions.
- Develop and document new manufacturing procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with research and development teams to facilitate the scale-up of new products and technologies from concept to full production.
- Provide remote technical guidance and support to plant engineers and operational teams to ensure successful process implementation.
- Conduct feasibility studies and pilot testing for proposed process changes and new equipment integration.
Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in process development and optimisation within a manufacturing environment.
- Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, ChemCAD) and CAD tools.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, coupled with strong virtual communication abilities.
