Process Development Engineer

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop new manufacturing processes and equipment layouts.
• Optimise existing production processes to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance product quality.
• Conduct pilot studies and process validation to ensure successful implementation.
• Utilise Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma tools to identify and address process inefficiencies.
• Create and maintain detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and troubleshooting guides.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, on process development projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in process development or industrial engineering within a manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles and practical application.
• Experience with process simulation and modelling software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a methodical approach to process challenges.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills, crucial for this role in Oxford .
