About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Process Development Scientist to join their innovative research and development team based in Milton Keynes . This role focuses on developing and optimizing novel chemical synthesis routes and manufacturing processes for new products. You will be at the forefront of scientific exploration, translating laboratory discoveries into scalable, robust, and cost-effective production methods. Working within a state-of-the-art facility, you will collaborate with chemists, engineers, and analytical scientists to bring cutting-edge products to market.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and execute experiments to develop, optimize, and scale up chemical processes.
- Investigate and troubleshoot process deviations, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions.
- Utilize process analytical technology (PAT) and statistical methods (DoE) to understand and control process parameters.
- Develop clear and comprehensive documentation, including experimental reports, process descriptions, and batch records.
- Collaborate with external partners and internal teams to ensure successful technology transfer from R&D to manufacturing.
- Stay abreast of the latest scientific literature and emerging technologies relevant to process development.
Requirements
- PhD or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering , Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Proven experience in chemical process development, scale-up, and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in laboratory techniques and small-scale reaction chemistry.
- Experience with process modeling and simulation tools is a plus.
- Strong analytical skills and a meticulous approach to experimental design and data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of presenting complex scientific information clearly.
