About the Role
Our client is seeking a proactive and analytical Process Engineer to optimize manufacturing processes at their facility in Cardiff . This role focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and enhancing the overall productivity of our manufacturing lines. You will work closely with production teams, R&D, and maintenance departments to identify bottlenecks, implement innovative solutions, and ensure seamless integration of new technologies. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background and a passion for continuous improvement in a dynamic production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyse existing manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Develop and implement new process designs and improvements, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Troubleshoot production issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective corrective actions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and maintenance, on process development and optimization projects.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for production processes and report on performance trends.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of automation solutions to enhance manufacturing capabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing).
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing setting.
- Strong understanding of process simulation, statistical process control (SPC), and lean manufacturing principles.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in CAD software and process simulation tools.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work across different departments.
