About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled Process Engineer to join their innovative manufacturing team based in Cardiff . This role focuses on optimizing and improving existing manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality. You will work closely with production, engineering, and R&D departments to implement new technologies and methodologies, troubleshoot operational issues, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our manufacturing capabilities. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost reduction.
- Design, develop, and implement new manufacturing processes and technologies.
- Troubleshoot production issues, determine root causes, and implement effective solutions.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and work instructions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on new product introductions and process validation.
- Monitor process performance using data analysis and key performance indicators (KPIs).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Experience in process engineering within a manufacturing environment, preferably in (Specify relevant industry, e.g., chemical, pharmaceutical, automotive).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach.
- Knowledge of process simulation software and statistical process control (SPC).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
