About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Process Engineer to join their manufacturing operations in Cardiff . This role is crucial for maintaining and improving the efficiency, quality, and safety of our production processes. You will be responsible for analyzing current operations, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing sustainable solutions. This hands-on position requires a strong understanding of engineering principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving, contributing to a productive and innovative manufacturing environment in the capital of Wales.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze production processes to ensure optimal performance and identify deviations.
- Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
- Troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and waste.
- Create and update process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions.
- Collaborate with production staff, quality control, and engineering teams to drive continuous improvement.
- Ensure all processes comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemical, Mechanical) or a related technical field.
- Proven experience as a Process Engineer or in a similar role within a manufacturing setting.
- Knowledge of process optimization techniques and statistical process control (SPC).
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and tools.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively on-site in Cardiff .
