About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and innovative Process Engineer to join their dynamic manufacturing facility in Manchester . This role is crucial for optimizing existing production processes and developing new ones to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including production, R&D, and quality assurance, to implement engineering solutions that drive operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
- Analyze current manufacturing processes to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, yield, and cost-effectiveness.
- Design, develop, and implement new production processes and technologies.
- Conduct trials and testing of new equipment and materials, ensuring seamless integration into existing workflows.
- Troubleshoot production issues and develop solutions to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.
- Develop and maintain process documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and control plans.
- Collaborate with the engineering team on capital expenditure projects and equipment upgrades.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Process Engineer in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of process simulation and modeling software.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
