Process Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated Process Improvement Engineer to join their operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This critical role focuses on optimising all aspects of the manufacturing and operational workflow to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity. You will be tasked with scrutinising current procedures, identifying inefficiencies, and spearheading the implementation of advanced engineering solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and improve existing manufacturing processes, workflows, and layouts.
• Implement Lean Six Sigma projects to reduce waste, improve quality, and increase throughput.
• Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including SOPs and training materials.
• Analyse production data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with production teams, management, and other departments to implement process changes effectively.
• Manage projects related to process optimisation, from conception through to successful implementation and validation.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in process engineering or continuous improvement roles.
• Demonstrated expertise in Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies (Green Belt or Black Belt certification is a plus).
• Proficiency in process mapping, data analysis, and problem-solving techniques.
• Experience with statistical software and manufacturing execution systems (MES).
• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills.
