Process Improvement Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a dedicated and analytical Process Improvement Engineer to join their operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate process mapping sessions to identify opportunities for improvement in workflow and resource utilization.
• Develop, test, and implement innovative solutions to streamline operations, reduce waste, and improve product quality.
• Utilize data analysis and statistical tools to quantify process performance and measure the impact of implemented changes.
• Champion the adoption of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma principles across the organization, providing training and support.
• Collaborate with department heads and operational staff to foster a culture of continuous improvement and problem-solving.
• Document all process changes, develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), and ensure compliance with industry regulations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience in process optimization and project management within an industrial setting.
• Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing tools such as Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, and Just-In-Time (JIT).
• Proficiency in statistical analysis software and experience with data visualization tools.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget.
